Prime Minister Modi Disburses the 16th Installment of PM Kisan Yojana to Millions of Farmers

In a significant move to bolster the agricultural sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 16th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana in Maharashtra. The latest disbursement promises financial support to nearly 9 crore beneficiaries across the nation, injecting a sum of ₹2,000 into each registered farmer's account.

The PM-Kisan scheme, launched in December 2018, represents one of the largest farming support initiatives globally, with the Indian government fully backing the financial assistance program. Aimed at uplifting small and marginal farmers, the scheme provides ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments.

The release of funds was accompanied by a clarion call for eligible farmers who have yet to receive their installment to ensure their eKYC is completed and to check their status online. This process is essential for the successful transfer of funds directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts.

Farmers looking to verify their payment status or those who have not received their installment can visit the official PM Kisan portal. Here, they can navigate to the 'Farmers Corner' and select the 'Beneficiary Status' to view their payment details. In case of discrepancies or non-receipt of funds, farmers can reach out to the dedicated helpline numbers or the PM Kisan helpdesk via email.

This financial boost is set to empower the farmer community, enabling them to meet their agricultural needs and sustain their livelihoods.
