GATE 2025 Admit Cards Released Today: Download Steps and Mock Test Details

Aspiring engineers, it's time to gear up! The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced that the GATE 2025 admit cards will be available for download today, January 7, 2025. Registered candidates can access their admit cards on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, using their login credentials.

Originally scheduled for release on January 2, the admit cards have been delayed by a few days. However, candidates now have sufficient time to prepare for the exam, which will take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The results are expected to be declared on March 19, 2025.

How to Download Your GATE 2025 Admit Card

Follow these simple steps to download your admit card:

  1. Visit the official GATE website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  2. Enter your enrollment number and password.
  3. Click on "GATE Login."
  4. Select the link to download the admit card.
  5. Save the admit card and take a printout for future reference.

Ensure you carry the printed admit card to the exam hall on the scheduled day.

GATE 2025: Exam Overview

This year, GATE 2025 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, with exam centers spread across eight zones. The exam is a gateway for admission to postgraduate engineering programs and opens doors to various public sector undertakings (PSUs).

Negative Marking in GATE 2025

For candidates attempting MCQs, here’s what you need to know about negative marking:

  • 1-mark MCQ:1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
  • 2-mark MCQ:2/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
    There will be no negative marking for MSQ and NAT questions.

Mock Tests: Your Key to Success

To help candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT format, IIT Roorkee has provided mock test links on the official website. Candidates can access mock tests by selecting their test paper and code from the list. Practicing these tests will help improve time management and accuracy.
