Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 2: Vicky Kaushal’s Historical Epic Continues Strong Run
Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest historical drama, Chhaava, is proving to be a box office powerhouse. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is on an upward trajectory, earning a whopping ₹67.5 crore net in just two days.
Chhaava’s Record-Breaking Performance
Released on February 14, Chhaava opened to a stellar ₹31 crore on its first day, setting a new benchmark for Valentine’s Day releases. The film continued its strong run on day two, raking in ₹36.5 crore, bringing the total domestic collection to ₹67.5 crore. With a worldwide opening day collection of ₹50 crore, Chhaava is on track to become one of the highest-grossing historical films of the year.
Breaking Box Office Records
Chhaava holds the record for the highest opening day collection for a Valentine’s Day release, surpassing Gully Boy (₹19.40 crore).
It has also become the biggest Bollywood opening of 2025, beating Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force, which collected ₹15.30 crore on its opening day.
The Hindi version of the film recorded an overall occupancy of 44.18%, showcasing strong audience interest.
Rashmika Mandanna’s Take on Her Role
Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale, shared her excitement about portraying the historical figure. In a heartfelt note, she expressed how she never imagined a South Indian actress playing the role of a Marathi queen.
